This is where it started — not with a plan, but with a filing cabinet in Melbourne and a decision, made by other people, to send someone to a conference in Switzerland. Everything that follows grew out of that single accident: twelve years representing LGBTIQA+ communities on the world stage, and a life spent getting on planes for reasons that ranged from the deeply official to the entirely personal. Travel, in the end, is rarely about the places. It’s about who you become in them, and who you meet along the way.
