OH, FOR GOD’S SAKE! – A Spiritual Guide Told Through Humorous Tales
This is an honest, provocative, and deeply human journey through the realm of spirituality, told through chronicles that explore the divine — not as dogma, but as a mirror of our anxieties, doubts, fears, and
redemptions.

With clever humour, literary sensitivity, and a generous dose of irony, the author observes human behaviour in the light of the sacred, and the sacred in the light of the everyday, blending spirituality with ordinary life.

This book is neither a religious treatise nor a guide to enlightenment. Instead, it is a vivid and emotive account of someone who sits at the table with God, the Devil, and themselves, to discuss everything
that truly matters: guilt, forgiveness, love, ego, and silence.

Launch of Q Magazine Shop: Your New Book Destination

It’s been quite an arduous task but I got there – thank goodness!

Q MAGAZINE MEDIA-Launch of Q Magazine Shop: Your New Book Destination-image

The opening of the new SHOP coincides with the commencement of the fabulous deal between myself and Nutcase Tales’ Author Dinis Santos. His new eBook OH, FOR GOD’S SAKE! brings together 55 witty and razor-sharp chronicles about faith, doubt, and the divine, exploring with humour and reflection the meeting point between the sacred and the profane — and humanity’s eternal obsession with trying to understand the unknowable.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and excited about the prospects.

Q MAGAZINE SHOP has a cross-section of books for sale, from ‘How To’ classics to Gardening, from Amazon Best Sellers to my own self-published books. Prices vary immensely, but one thing will always be maintained: a healthy respect for the written word and though who master its delivery – the Authors!

I really NEED your support to help make this venture successful on a pure venture level but also financially. Please pass this on to your networks, friends, families, enemies, and people you don’t know (but don’t click the link until the 1st of January 2026 please).

The Chalice of Fortune – Award-winning audiobook now available!

Q MAGAZINE MEDIA-Barnett’s The Chalice of Fortune Wins Best Audiobook Prize-DSC

Independently published, and the first in a hotly anticipated three-book series, Barnett’s debut historical fantasy has won best audiobook prize in the Purple Dragonfly Book Award AND first prize for the fiction book cover design in the Best Indie Book Awards (BIBA) 2025.

AUSTRALIAN-MADE: The audiobook is a local Melbourne creation – recorded and produced by Andre Octavio and read by Janine Howe. The award-winning cover was designed by Betty Martinez.

Q MAGAZINE MEDIA-Barnett’s The Chalice of Fortune Wins Best Audiobook Prize-The Chalice of Fortune Sarah Barnett

A fast-paced, high-stakes tale, notoriously difficult to put down, The Chalice of Fortune features ancient riddles, an historic castle (with secret passages), an unlikely (but awesome) heroine, her cousin and their mates, all battling the German war-machine and the ticking of the clock.

Can they solve the riddles in time to save the life of someone she loves? Only time will tell.  But did we mention the ghost… ?

Set in the 1940’s English countryside during World War II, fantasy adventure The Chalice of Fortune was inspired by Barnett’s real family heritage in Warwickshire. Meticulously researched, the Melbourne author merges an action-packed story with wartime history, riddles and a famous castle ghost.

Along the way, she champions the tenacity of teenagers as they discover what true friendship really means against all the odds. While the story appeals to readers aged 9 years and over, this classic tale is one for all ages.

With enough twists and turns to match the drive, The Chalice of Fortune is the perfect soundtrack for long family road trips this summer.
